Open typed URLs in new tabs in Safari Beta 2

This hint implies that Command-T opens a new tab. Command-T
doesn't work on this Mac -- but works on another. Same thing
about a reference the other day about Command-Shif-LeftArrow
and Command-Shift-RightArrow switching between tabs. Doesn't
work on this Mac but works on another. Any clues what would be
causing the discrepency? I have tried trashing the preferences
and that didn't seem to help.

Are you sure that you have enabled tabbed browsing in the Safari
preferences?

Yes, I absolutly have tabbed browsing turned on and it works
great. I seem to have fixed the problem and I'm not sure
whether it was from resetting defaults in the older version of
SafariEnhancer I had or downloading the newer 1.5.5 version and
using that. Now all those features/menu items are back on this
copy of Safari.

Check you haven't got a service that's taking Command-T?

It wasn't a service that had the command-T tied up. In fact,
there was no menu option at all for "New Tab" or "Close Tab" in
the file menu. There wasn't items "Select Next Tab" and "Select
Previous Tab" in the Window menu. These were not available as
menu items or keyboard shortcuts. My guess is that the old
version of SafariEnhancer had somehow blocked these items
from working. All is well now that I have run the new version of
SafariEnhancer.
