Safari Beta 2 released

If you have multiple macs, as I do (at least one for each of the
family), then you probably download updates to the desktop and
run them on each machine.
For the Safari update it must be done from software update, Not
installer.
One solution is to copy it to the desktop of each machine and
then run software update if you don't want to download multiple
times (Love this analogue modem).

Safari Beta 2 released

I am not sure what you mean. The independant (non-SWupdate) version is just a .dmg file which opens containing just the safari.app bundle, which can be easily copied to any machine you want. Once installed, it could be coppied from the Application folder to any other machine's application folder, couldn't it?

The .dmg is one of those stupid ones tha when mounted copies it's contents to the same location as the .dmg file, then unmounts, then tosses itself into the trash. But it is still there in the trash if you wanted it for archival purposes.

Safari Beta 2 released

Well, I installed by dl-ing it to my home folder and then
dropping it into the App folders. Then later, the SW UPdate ran
saying that I have a new version of Safari available.
