An easy way of finding EyeTV files

Ahh, that sure makes it more convenient to locate the MPEG files for drag+drop onto VCD Builder (et.al.). Thanks, Jim!

Anyone know of a script that extracts info from *.eyetvp files into a more "usable" format? Maybe it can be done with AppleScript? EyeTV-to-HTML perhaps?

It's surprising that El Gato Software hasn't added something so obviously useful as date/time info of recorded programs to the sparsely populated EyeTV Programs window. And I have yet to find any EyeTV forum or mailing list so I don't have to use MacOSXHints space to make comments like this. :-)

Agreed... I'd like to have some control over the naming or
exporting of these, so I'd at least be able to easily identify and
play these files off my Xbox Media Player! <g>

You asked about an AppleScript or something that makes these files more useable. Well, I use iTV_LinkMaker ( http://home.wi.rr.com/machound/ ) to make aliases with the appropriate names of in my Movies folder. Then I can use a video server or VLC Video Player ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) to view the videos.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions

EyeTV 1 users might find that useful. I've upgraded to EyeTV 2 so the recordings are sanely named and much easier to manage now.
