Network proxies and internet access via AirPort
Authored by: iordonez on Mar 18, '03 04:43:48PM

total proxy bug. Very annoying for schools with limited bandwidth and
Proxy server outside of LAN. Proxy bypass is undocumented and
featureless. so Far I have found that to bypass a local domain you need
to (for the domain srcs.org) add bypass for .srcs.org most anything else
will not work. As for bypassing local address' your outta luck. the ONLY
way to exclude a local address is to manually type it. But some
programs (iChat!) will not respond to even that. Try sending a file to a
Rendevous user when your behind a proxy. CRASH. It would be great if
apple created a help file explaining the way to configure this and also
allow 10.*, *.srcs.org, 10.1*, etc. in both the system AND their
applications that access any http ports. Submit a bug at http://
developer.apple.com/bugreporter/ the more reports to quicker the fix.
