Command not needed?
Authored by: rezEdit on Jun 25, '01 07:29:59AM
AFAICT, you don't even need to hold down command to do this. As in Classic Mac OS, an item selected from a menu, be it a program, folder, or document, opens. No modifier needed.

Reveal docs in Finder
Authored by: robg on Jun 25, '01 11:16:58AM

You are correct - if you want to OPEN the document, no modifier is needed. But with the command key held down, when you select the item, the Finder pops to the foreground, displaying the folder which contains the item you selected.

It's a fast way to locate a document on your hard drive from a sub-menu.
