Are these Kodak compatible CDs?
Authored by: figz on Feb 06, '03 11:04:40AM

I went to my local convenience store the other day to print some pictures that I had burned onto CD using their Kodak kiosk thing. But the machine couldn't read the disc because it wasn't Kodak Picture CD format. Does this method do that? Or is there another way to make a Kodak Picture CD?

I don't know what Kodak uses today, but the "Kodak Photo CD" (way back when) used to be a highly proprietary format.
Looking at the Kodak site, it seems highly unlikely that any disc produced with Toast (or any other Mac or PC CD-Recording Software, for that matter) is "Kodak Compatible". The only way to get a Kodak Picture CD, it seems, is to have your negatives developed, and put on a CD by Kodak.

Many other non-Kodak processing places will take a Toast Disc (be sure to use the "Mac and PC (hybrid)" format) happily however.
