No folder for you
Authored by: Eravau on Dec 30, '02 11:26:34PM

I noticed that too...drives me crazy. It's another one of those annoying interface things they should have had cleaned up from the beginning.

Kind of like when you create a new folder in the finder with cmd-shift-n and it doesn't let you immediately edit the name (ala pre-OS X).

And speaking of the "New Folder" in the open/save dialogs...why can't we have a keyboard shortcut back for that...I'll even settle for the cmd-shift-n like in the Finder. Give me back my full keyboard navigation in open/save dialogs and I'll be a happier man.

(At least they're getting closer.)

Not sure what you mean. I can press command, shift + n and get a new folder, edit the name and hit return to save. I wonder if your install is horked up.

Sure you can! 10.2.3

Press command, shift + n and get a new folder, edit the name and hit return to save. Hands never leaving the keys.

And it will EVEN keep your current selection(s) active. EVEN in the same column! That's nuts.. it rules for organizing.. just what the "Finder" was meant to do in the first place! :)
