New folder
But oddly the dialog popped-up by the \'Create New Folder\' button in the save dialog no longer lets you hit return to trigger the default button. *grumble*
No folder for you
I noticed that too...drives me crazy. It's another one of those annoying interface things they should have had cleaned up from the beginning.
No soup for you
Not sure what you mean. I can press command, shift + n and get a new folder, edit the name and hit return to save. I wonder if your install is horked up.
No folder for you
"like when you create a new folder in the finder with cmd-shift-n and it doesn't let you immediately edit the name (ala pre-OS X). "
Sure you can! 10.2.3 Press command, shift + n and get a new folder, edit the name and hit return to save. Hands never leaving the keys. And it will EVEN keep your current selection(s) active. EVEN in the same column! That's nuts.. it rules for organizing.. just what the "Finder" was meant to do in the first place! :)
New folder
Hm. Mine works: once I name a new folder, I can accept the new name and create the folder by hitting return. iBook running 10.2.3, updated from 10.1. I wonder what the difference is? |
