Very linux oriented

Fink is a great package, don't get me wrong, and it delivers apps to OSX that we otherwise would have to wait for a very long time. But one should be aware that the majority of fink apps are KDE, gnome or commandline applications.

so don't expect much fanchysmanchy aqua stuff ! A lot of these apps look butt-ugly running on OSX !

Note to Little Dude...

KDE, GNOME and other fink packages are not Linux oriented. They are UNIX apps... Sure some people think Unix is just Linux but that's just plain wrong. Fink is like FreeBSD port collection. It manages the dependencies that the apps rely on. Also if you want to use X11 apps if you use the right WM and Themes the apps don't look half bad. Fink just gives Mac OS X users the power to use other UNIX apps in the computer world that are not only popular but are widely used.
