Why you can't move the menu widget

Here is why you can't move the meny item anymore since 10.2...

When apple made Jaguar, they created a block somewhere and somehow, preventing and making it impossible to use any previous 3rd party menu extras. Since 10.2, all menulings are really applications in disguise, which is why you can't move them around. However, there is a way to eliminate this block using Unsanity's Menu Extra Enabler (I wonder where they came up with that name) at http://www.unsanity.com/download.php?product=mee

Are you sure this is the reason?

Yesterday i installed Quitling (os9 style application switcher) which is a menu bar item. It moves around just fine. Surely if what you say is true then it wouldn't move either??

hmmmmm... just to make sure, what system are you using? the block is only in 10.2 and up. If you are using jaguar then I'm quite baffled

I am running 10.2.2 and using Quitling, and can move it around using Command-click.
