Doesn't work for me
Authored by: CaptDeuce on Nov 27, '02 02:25:12PM
Uninstalling according to the directions, which was simply replacing the Chrome folder with the copy from before the Multizilla install, didn't work.

The Chrome directory is in the Mozilla.app package. Ctrl-Click on Mozilla.app and select Show Package Contents. The chrome directory is in the Mac OS directory.

The delete instructions from the Multizilla are:

1. Close Mozilla (including QuickLaunch)
2. Make a backup of your chrome/ directory in case something goes wrong
3. From the chrome/ directory, remove multiviews.jar
4. From the chrome/ directory, remove the overlayinfo/ directory
5. From the chrome/ directory, open installed-chrome.txt and delete following lines:

content,install,url,jar:resource:/chrome/multiviews.jar!/content/multiviews/
skin,install,url,jar:resource:/chrome/multiviews.jar!/skin/modern/multiviews/
locale,install,url,jar:resource:/chrome/multiviews.jar!/locale/en-US/multiviews/

But that wasn't sufficient for me. I opened the install log and removed a few additional files:

Mozilla.app:Contents:MacOS:Components:compreg.dat
Mozilla.app:Contents:MacOS:defaults:pref:all-mz.js
Mozilla.app:Contents:MacOS:defaults:profile:localstore.rdf
Mozilla.app:Contents:MacOS:Components:mzUpdateNotifier.js

Works like a charm now. Of course, it'd be easier to just reinstall Mozilla. :-)
