Funny thing happening...
I recently modified the Apple menu to change the "About this Mac" line to something more personal, and I deleted the "Get Mac OS Software" link using the interface builder. Everything worked fine, and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my system. Except... One minor annoyance that could become a major annoyance down the road: Whenever I do a "Force Quit" it logs me out. Everything else on the menu works great, but doing a FQ, even if I don't actually cause anything to quit, just closing the Force Quit box, logs me out of the system. Like I said, it's minor now, but could become a major annoyance real quick.
A little late...
Damn! I wondered why that was happening to me, and now I think I know why. I too used Interface Builder to remove the Get Mac OS X Software line from the Apple Menu, and I too suffered a log out whenever I brought up the Force Quit window. Now that I have just completed a clean install of Mac OS X 10.2.4, I no longer suffer the log outs. Yay. |
