Disk Utility not repairing all "errors"

This is a known but minor issue. The "errors" are caused because the disk is in use. There's an Apple TIL about this, but I don't have it handy. So don't worry about those errors that remain, they aren't actual errors. Norton doesn't know that and therefor kills your OS disk.

If you really want to be sure, check the disk with fsck in single user mode (Start up with Apple-s pressed and then just read the line right above the one where you enter your commands. It informs you that the command "fsck -y" will check your disk. If it finds and repairs errors, enter it again until it doesn't anymore. Then enter the command "reboot" and let your computer start up the regular way.)

Another possibility is to check your disk while booted from another disk, e.g. the install cd.
