Disk Errors in OS X
Starting off the OS X disc only seems to fix part of the errors, and the latest version of Norton constantly sees new dirctory errors. If I fix it using Norton it kills the OS X disc, making me reinstall. And the errors keep popping up? Is there any other way to fix my Hard Disc from within OS X?
Disk Utility not repairing all "errors"
This is a known but minor issue. The "errors" are caused because the disk is in use. There's an Apple TIL about this, but I don't have it handy. So don't worry about those errors that remain, they aren't actual errors. Norton doesn't know that and therefor kills your OS disk.
The TILs
Okay, found the TIL. It's number is 106270 and its URL is <http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n106270>. |
