I wanted the selectivity to allow say /Users on the desktop but not /Swap. I also have an external firewire drive with 4 partitions so when that is turned on I'd have nine partitions on my desktop. I absloutely hate a cluttered desktop so thus the use of SetFile.

Sounds like you need Login and LogOut Hooks. Then for whatever user you want, the SetFile command can be used to hide whatever folders you want, plus. For more information go to
