No QuartzExtreme with this hack
Authored by: sebid on Oct 26, '02 08:43:10AM

I noticed that there is no QuartzExtreme acceleration on the second display. So I checked with "QuartzExtremeCheck". The strange thing is that it says none of the displays is accelerated. When I switch to synchronize Displays they are. But from my personal experience the internal iBook TFT is accelerated.
Anyone got the same results?

No QuartzExtreme with this hack

Assuming this is the same situation as the older TiBooks, it is because the Radeon only has 16MB VRAM, which is split to 8MB per display when "spanning" is enabled. 8MB is less than the 16 required for QE, so it is disabled.
