Thanks! In OSX Mavericks, one thing that can confuse a novice like myself is that in the Mac TextEdit, when completing the extension change during the save process, you may have to click the down arrow next to the "Save As" menu, and uncheck the "Hide Extensions" box to be able to change the extension from .txt to .css.
