Force spring-load folder when auto spring load is disabled.

What's a spring loaded folder? What version of OS X are you referring to? I seem to recall spring loaded folders from OS X 10.4 or so, but they've been gone for quite a while.

It refers to the function where a folder opens when you drag and hover a file or files over it, allowing you to navigate through a hierarchy while holding down the mouse button on the drag.
As you say, it's been in OS X forever -- it never went away.

Not just folders but Dock icons will spring in much the same way when you hover an item over them -- try it with the Finder icon, for example, or the Preview icon. And similarly tapping Space will speed-up the process.
