I have Gatekeeper turned off. It causes more issues than it prevents IMO.

Seeing this and today's hint Service to open terminal in selected folder it'd be great to have a readily accessible toggle for GateKeeper. Not that it's that hard to turn off and on... ideally the toggle would have a timer to automatically re-enable it. Or to leave it normally disabled and temporarily enable it, say, if you have to loan your machine to a friend who is indiscriminate with software downloads...
