Find devices connected to your AirPort base station without AirPort Utility 5.6

As a Network Engineer I have found a great tool for this. NetAdmin. It is a little pricey at $37.99, but offers alot when used in the field. It polls MAC addresses, SNMP, port data, Domain/workgroup info, and much more. There is a Pro version that has been released but I do not have any details or field experience on that version as of yet. I have contacted Aribada for info. Arp commands are great to know and useful. I highly recommend them for setting up DHCP reservations. The built in OS Network Utility offers great resources as well.

On a side note to this post, I would like to find a community of Mac users who are in the IT field and use Macs for Network Admin resources. If anyone has any details please advise.
