Navigate directly to recently accessed files and apps

Strange that this works with the command key, while other modifications to menu bar functions typically happen while pressing option. I wonder why they chose to bind this to another key. Does option do something else with recent items? I'm trying it now and it seems not.

Still very useful. Thank you. Now I just have to remember it.

Command makes sense because it's already associated with opening an item's enclosing folder -- Command-click on a folder in your Dock, for example, to see this. (Instead of opening the item directly in the Recent menu, you're opening its enclosing folder.)
