Use Dropbox and Automator to automatically import photos from Android

This solution doesn't actually work out that well in my experience... Two problems:

1) The files stay in "Camera Uploads", filling your dropbox. Having files in two places on your computer.
2) iPhoto keeps popping to the front as individual files are downloaded one by one from Dropbox. Driving people crazy.

I combined this Automator idea, with the 'Auto Import' folder concept detailed here...

Once you have the 'Auto Import' folder in your navigation bar on the left side, you can create an Automator Script to monitor the Camera Uploads and then move the files to 'Auto Import'. The next time you open iPhoto it will import stuff. Dropbox doesn't overfill because it's moving the items out of Camera Upload. You only have one instance of the picture on your hard drive, etc...

Thanks for this post, it was very helpful.
