Make Internet Sharing DHCP work with an Xbox/Xbox 360
Authored by: Joser on Jan 14, '13 08:45:18PM

I too just made an account so that I can post my MANY THANKS to wm for figuring this out & posting about it. I struggled with hooking up my cousins XBox to my Mac airport wifi. He eventually caved in and just bought a router. I now have a new wifi bluray player and couldn't get it connected to the net. Both the XBox & the bluray player each saw the connection and could connect to it, but could never actually get onto the internet. Did this simple fix and BAAM, I'm up and running.
I was so sick and tired of reading about all the posts of 'simply turn on your internet sharing' and endless posts of IP address change this and Subnet mask change that.
This is the fix. It worked for me and I hope it works for the rest of you.
I'm using 10.6.8.

Endless THANKS again wm.
