Quickly enter a time when creating Calendar events

Good hint - now, I have a question for anyone out there: if you have multiple "calendars" set up in "Calendar" (Mountain Lion's iCal)... is there an easy way to assign the new event to a specific calendar? For example, if you have a calendar called "home" and a calendar called "work," can you get it to appear on the "work" calendar selectively?

Unfortunately you can't choose a calendar using this method. In Mountain Lion's Calendar preferences, though, you can choose to make new events in either a) your default calendar, or b) the selected calendar (a setting that returned in 10.8). This feature is another reason I use Fantastical :)
