Dismiss banner notifications with a swipe on OS X
I'm not at my Mac, but if it's like the left-swipe to reveal notifications, it's sort of a special, "wide" swipe: you have to start the motion with your fingers at the far left -- essentially *off* of the trackpad area -- then swipe all the way across to the other side.

I'm not sure, actually, that the swiping motion I described works for the notifications in question. The "wide swipes" do reveal/hide the full "notification center" (or whatever it's called in Mountain Lion), but they don't seem to dismiss the persistent reminder notifications, such as those that Calendar presents on my screen. It seems those can only be dismissed by a click. |
