Skip to top/bottom of web page

I think this particular behavior depends on the application. I'm still using Snow Leopard, with System Preferences -> Trackpad -> Three fingers swipe to navigate enabled. In general, three fingers swiped sideways will move to next page or previous page.

I've been using two fingers swiped up or down to scroll up or down in Firefox and wondered why sometimes I would suddenly be at the top or bottom of the page. Now I know: a third finger touched the trackpad while I was swiping, and the three-finger up or down swipe tells Firefox to go to the top or bottom of the page. In Chrome or Safari, it does nothing.
