New Poll: The Obligatory Mountain Lion Poll

Nooooooo I will not! I did install every upgrade since Mac OS 7 as soon as they came out. After the debacle of Lion I will not. I have detested Lion, all the user non friendly of it. like having to type a password to place a file on my own hard drive, having to unix command to find my own library, all my 5 macs from core 2 duos to quad i7 became slowwww. Every time I upgraded before it got faster, better, more useful. With Lion I have to RESTART my macs!! my student users also experience freezing, time machine eternal backups, auto save issues, they all miss SAVE AS, iCloud address book synch problems with iOS devices. I never had so many calls for help from mac users since this Lion year.

Lion really turned me off to OSX, I will wait as much as I can, read all the reviews and bad experiences online before even considering it. Not even if Apple paid me to move today I would not. I am joining the users that say, my mac is not an iPad! and Administrator Users should have the right to do administrate their computers. Mountain Lion will not even let you install 3rd party software if you don't know how to disable it.

I am not recommending to any of the people who consult me to move to Mountain Lion for a while. I always recommend to wait until version X.01 from any system to wait for the bugs, now I say wait as long as possible. I am no longer one to install it right away to help debug it. Let's hope that this upgrade looks like an Apple upgrade this time.
