Work around an iLife installer error when restoring a Core 2 Duo MacBook Air
Authored by: Sven G on Jul 21, '12 03:36:46AM

When I reinstalled iLife '11 from the family pack DVD some time ago (on machines form 2009 and 2010), the certificate was indeed expired, but the installer gave me the option to proceed anyway, thus ignoring the potential (in reality non-existent, as of course it was an original Apple DVD) security risk; and then everything worked, including subsequent updates from Apple Software Update (thus, with no need to change the system date).

But I was already on Lion while installing from the DVD: so, maybe that's the reason why it worked, who knows...
