I found one reason Apple didn't turn Open in Low Resolution off. I tried to insert three PDF files into a Pages document, and the second one was difficult to adjust, and the third one never appeared, though it was actually in the document. Somehow, it couldn't reconcile the size of the PDF with the size of the page.

Just using text, it seems to otherwise work well for me.

OK, I've now found bugs in both Papers and Numbers that appear when Low Resolution mode is off. In addition to the issue I found with Pages (above), I found that in Numbers I couldn't extend a spreadsheet, evidently because the application thought the drag tab was somewhere other than where it was displaying.
