Disable low resolution in Retina Macbook

Much like kirkmc, most do not have this model, so why would that option be set by default? Itís easily changed for those who have the new MacBook Pro.

I have the model and I do not see this option in my version or Pages.

I don't think the option shows up at all on non-Retina MacBooks (I can't find it on mine), so it makes sense that the higher resolution would be turned on by default.
