Easily add text to the Login window and lock screen
Dunno folks. A hint to me is something hidden, or otherwise unknown that requires some effort. A click box option doesn't rate for me, but OK. Not a rant as much as it is an observation.

Well, here's what the dictionary says about "hint":

Actually, I'd say that this is hidden in a way - if I want to add text to the _login_ window, I'd probably look in the accounts prefpane, not security. And in fact the checkbox label doesn't even mention the login window, so I'd never have known it affected that as well.

I mostly defend against the "it's not a hint" posts. All I said was this time, it was a stretch to me. Can't someone say something without folks here getting all butt-hurt over it? Good lord. The other 98% of the stuff here is great. As I said, I wasn't ranting over it. |
