When is Apple going to start innovating on laptops again?!?!
I want a retina-class screen on the next 17-inch MacBook Pro that i buy....
Throw in a resolution-independant OS (how long have we been waiting for that!!!), and a video card that can push all those pixels (Apple has made *some* progress there, but there is still a long way to go...)

Apple was once *the* innovator on laptops, and laptops are far from dead!!!

Cheers all...
PS: i'll get the iPad 3 once i do the extension on the house, get a new car, clothes for the baby, and a college fund for the kids... By then, i'll get it for $20 at a garage sale, but it'll be incompatible with iTunes 2020...

I think it's safe to assume that we'll be seeing better displays on Macs. There aren't many other hardware features Apple can add. My guess is that that DPI will be a bit lower, as the distance one uses a laptop is further than that of an iPad. This will certainly save money on the displays.

Of course, it means I will have to sell my 27" Cinema Display to get a new one… :-)
