iTunes Match recognizes some digital copies of movies
Authored by: gopes on Mar 09, '12 12:06:51PM

This isn't a feature of iTunes Match, it's a feature of "iTunes in the Cloud". Meaning, the digital copies show up as purchased items, and therefore available to re-download like music and TV shows before. The distinction is important, because iTunes Match requires a subscription. iTunes in the Cloud does not.

iTunes Match only supports music: if I have music from a CD, iTunes Match will recognize it. If I have TV shows that I encoded from television, I don't get access to iTunes's better quality version of it.

Good point, thanks for the correction. I've fixed the hint to reflect this.
