Quickly expand and shrink Save dialogs
Seems to me that while the expanded/unexpanded state is saved for regular save dialogs, that the dialog you get when closing a window with a never-before-saved file defaults to always compact. Of course, what I really want is for that dialog to go back to not being a save dialog at all, because I (more often than not) explicitly save files that I want to keep and if I'm just closing a window, it's because I do want to discard it. Thus my thought process is "I want to get rid of this" and then I hit cmd-w and have to wait for 3-5 seconds for it to load the full save dialog, and it's distracting every single time. I should probably file a bug report...
Quickly expand and shrink Save dialogs

Therefore I use the following Terminal command from another hint:
The same for Print dialog boxes
