Sticky Widget from Selected Text

I'm not big into the dashboard. I edited this script so that it launches the Stickies application in stead of the Sticky Widget. Works well except that the text copied loses any carriage returns which squishes all the test into one long line. Need to figure out how to do an actual Command + C, open the Stickies app and then do a Command + N to open a new Sticky note and then a Command + V to paste the contents

If you just want a shortcut for adding a sticky note, use the suggestion from the Macworld article I mentioned in the hint intro (Quickly Create New Sticky Notes). Just select text and press cmd-shift-Y, unless you've disabled the default Mac OS X Service item using the Keyboard prefpane.
