It's in Disk Copy, not Disk Utility
The reference in the Hint to Disk Utility really threw me for a while, until I tried Disk Copy instead. Sure enough, that's where the blue arrow and the 'Allow additional burns' option are hidden away. This is a really cool find, and (taken in conjunction with 'Erase CD/DVD-RW Disc') further adds to the stature of Disk Copy as an improving utility.
It's not in either
I looked both in Disk Utility and Disk Copy and found no traces of the elusive little blue arrow; where is it hiding?
PS - I did verify I was in 10.2.1 to make sure I wasn't having a blonde moment :)
It's not in either
(Oops) It is in Disk Copy! If you go back to the original hint in July you'll see that you need to make a blank DMG (cmd-N). After adding the files you want to burn, you then unmount the DMG and select 'burn image'(cmd-B) from disk copy. Choose the dmg from the drop-down 'Burn Image' window. After clicking on the 'burn' button you will be soon presented with another window (Burn disc). This is the one with the little blue arrow.
CD Session Burner X
Or just pay $5 and get the shareware CD Session Burner X which automates the process.
Sorry!
I fixed the original article; sorry about the problem (all mine, due to an editing error). |
