Nope, not here...

I did a clean install and then migrated my $HOME over with psync but my option setting in terminal wouldn't stick until I tried this hint. Don't know why it affects different people differently.

Now if I could just get the window behavior in terminal to be more like it was in 10.1.5 where it would be more in the upper left corner of the screen upon launch rather than in the lower middle area which is in the way of other work. I tried futzing with the x and y values in the .plist as well as the uly value but it doesn't seem to do anything.

[I know this isn't "staying on topic", but I need to vent.]

Yeah, it really bugs me that a lot of window locations still don't stick in Jaguar... Why is that? It seems unbelievable that Apple wouldn't be able to make windows stay where you moved them when you relaunch an app!! I know it's still a work in progress, but come on, this seems so basic...

That's interesting. I preserved my home directory except for com.apple preferences. Thus, I know why "Option click to position cursor" didn't work for me. It is strange that it would fail for people who preserved their 10.1 preferences.
I agree about the window issue and it's true for other Apple apps as well, like TextEdit.

Arrange your window(s) just like you want them and set all the options you want. Go to "Save as.." and check "Open this file when Terminal starts up", if you have more than one windows also choose "All Windows" for "What to Save:".

A really neat function if you ask me.
