Opt-click works for me
Opt click already works for me--maybe because I upgraded from 10.1 rather than did a clean install? Currently running 10.2.1 with all the updates.
Opt-click works for me
It already works for me, also, and I did a clean install. My Users directory is on another partition. I would think that anyone who had in some fashion preserved their home directory would not have lost this feature. Right?
Nope, not here...
I did a clean install and then migrated my $HOME over with psync but my option setting in terminal wouldn't stick until I tried this hint. Don't know why it affects different people differently.
Re: Nope, not here...
[I know this isn't "staying on topic", but I need to vent.]

That's interesting. I preserved my home directory except for com.apple preferences. Thus, I know why "Option click to position cursor" didn't work for me. It is strange that it would fail for people who preserved their 10.1 preferences.
I agree about the window issue and it's true for other Apple apps as well, like TextEdit.

Arrange your window(s) just like you want them and set all the options you want. Go to "Save as.." and check "Open this file when Terminal starts up", if you have more than one windows also choose "All Windows" for "What to Save:".

frjo, thanks. I had forgotten about the .term files and how useful they really are.
NO Opt-click for me
On my brand-new G4 tower that came with Jaguar 10.2.1 pre-installed, option-click does not work in the Terminal.
Using the hint (and, or course, quitting then re-launching Terminal) just restored "option-clickability." Thanks!

Works for me too, 10.2 installed over 10.1... |
