10.7: Customize All My Files
I like this hint since Lion defaults to the All My Files view which IMHO is completely useless (too many random files show up). However, I feel it could use some expansion to help make it more useful in general.
I've never saved a search before and although I sort of figured that out, is there anyway to exclude certain Kinds of files such as Applications or have the search criteria be an "OR" statement? E.G. Ideally I think I'd like the Finder window to open with .pdf, .tex, .docx, .xlsx, and .m from the last month but when I specify a file extension it automatically excludes anything else.
A quick search yielded this hint which explains more about raw queries but it'd be nice not to have to learn the syntax.... is this possible or am I asking too much from Apple
