Prevent a given partition from mounting at boot
Authored by: MacTipster on Oct 06, '11 01:45:49PM

Is there any application to prevent default automatic mounting partitions or full disks after rebooting or cold booting?

That is handy when there are several partitions or full disks used for repair that are not usually required for working on a daily basis.

Thanks.

I have found such application:

TinkerTool System
http://www.bresink.com/osx/300321023/details.html

Configure it at "TinkerTool System - System Settings - Volumes - Exclude volumes from automatic mounting".
