Follhardy is the one that mucks with his system, throwing caution to the wind, but I just had to give it a shot. It works. I had to re-input my passwords in Mail.app, but other than that, It seems to be the same (except for the name change)

DON"T DO IT!!!

I don't know enough about Unix, but after rebooting, all of my apps appeared as folders, and I couldn't access anything. A new user file was created with the new name, while keeping the old name and info - After trying to put things right (and failing), I just reinstalled everything... I couldn't even delete the old user setting from root. But, I had backed up all of my user info, luckily...
