Another trick is to shut down the Laptop.
Turn the power on holding the eject button.
Let the power button go and but keep holding the eject button until CD / DVD ejects from drive.

I had that problem after erasing my main drive for a clean install but drive would not eject. Works every time....

Eject a stuck CD/DVD from a MacBook Pro SuperDrive

Desperately need help! I am running a seminar next week and need to play a DVDR. Knowing it isn't in good condition, I decided to rip the DVD onto my computer (early 2008 MacBook Pro). The disk started running so I started ripping it and went off to the gym. When I came back an hour later, the laptop had gone to sleep so I tried waking it up by hitting the space bar - didn't work. Then I tried pressing the power button once - again nothing. Then I did something really foolish and thought I'd manually power off and power on again (which in the past used to eject stuck disks).

When I tried to power on, nothing happens. The pilot light comes on for. Second or two then shuts off. I've tried every hint I found here but nothing us working.

I'm in Mexico City, it's a Sunday, there is no Apple service centre open here, I cannot get through to any 24 hour Apple Call centre and my seminar starts at 9am tomorrow... HELP!!
