I highly recommend TotalFinder for this. The $15 paid version lets you cut and paste files just like in Windows. The file even gets dimmed in the Finder on cut, just like in Windows.

+1 for TotalFinder. Cut/Paste is handy, plus having a tabbed Finder makes it a winner.
