A few final notes about Lion hints

one would hope our moderator has a test machine available for work (or an external drive with a clone of this Snow Leopard OS) while he gets used to the Lion OS. I know we're all on the bleeding edge here, but as professionals we shouldn't let that impede our ability to get work done. I, for one, am looking forward to virtualizing the Lion OS as a test machine that can easily be reverted to a known state when it all goes haywire.

I've prepared an external Firewire drive (cloned from my main SL system) that I'm going to install Lion on when it's released. Otherwise, I have exactly the same access to the software that any other user does.

Booting from a FireWire disk will be pretty dang slow. I'd highly recommend partitioning your internal hard drive. This has worked great for me.

Just a thought :). Can't wait to see Lion hints on the site.

Ha! My old MacBook has the 120 GB internal drive and it's pretty close to full. Since that's where I do most of my Hints-related work from I have to use the external.

My hope is that some virtualization solution for Snow Leopard will become possible. That would be enough motivation to force me to clear off the space to dual boot. :)
