Running 10.6 and 10.7 at same time?
Authored by: MtnBiker on Jul 11, '11 09:23:32AM

There have been suggestions that it may be possible to run 10.6 and 10.7 or at least boot back and forth. Will be looking forward to hints about this issue since I want to continue to use Quicken which won't run on Lion.

You definitely can run both - just install to a different hard drive or at least partition. You could even install one of them to a USB drive if you don't mind the lack of speed due to it.

Thanks. And I think partitioning is straightforward, no erasing of disks. I may be willing to do this to use Quicken, but it would be a pain.

But will some kind of virtualization allow fast switching? That would be much preferable. Most preferable is that Apple/Quicken come up with an update—there was a rumor of this possibility.
