Jump forward or backwards in iTunes

Here's an interesting fact. Until a fairly recent version of iTunes, holding down command-option and a left or right arrow key would result in continuous accelerated regression or advancement of the playhead, but the new position wouldn't be displayed until the keys were released. I'm not sure exactly how long that behavior existed, but I am pretty sure that it was at some point during the the pre-OS X days of the Mac OS when the current behavior stopped. In other words, you could hold down command-option and a left or right arrow key and watch the cursor move while the keys were down in the classic Mac OS, but at some point before Classic was replaced by OS X, that behavior stopped, and has only returned recently.
