Share an Airport connection with iPad via Bluetooth
If you have WiFi at the hotel, why can't you just connect to that with the iPad? It would also be faster then the Bluetooth connection.

Because in most of the hotels I've stayed in, they restrict your WiFi connection to the MAC address of the machine you first logged in with. Most of the time these are paid services--meaning this hint can help you avoid paying for extra devices--or they have you enter your room number in your login, and you get limited to one device that way.
