Open Current Firefox Page in Safari
Authored by: BigBadbenny on Apr 12, '11 05:28:32AM

Got this to work with FF4 to Safari with a few changes:

tell application "Firefox" to activate
tell application "System Events"
try
set clipboardBackup to the clipboard
end try
keystroke "l" using command down
keystroke "c" using command down
end tell

tell application "Safari"
activate

open location (the clipboard as text)
end tell

set the clipboard to clipboardBackup

Using the script as I've followed Daring Fireball's tip to disable Flash for FF and Safari. Using scripts found both here and at tuaw.com/2011/03/14/use-applescript-to-open-current-safari-url-in-google-chrome I can open URL's from FF in either Chrome or Safari depending on whether the content is webm, HTML5 or Flash.
