Install Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection without the bloat
I downloaded this yesterday, tried to do this today. The package, Office2011_en_rdc.pkg, is not part of the download. I've been using the Microsoft RDC that you can download from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/mac/remote-desktop-client As a web application developer I have to connect to Windows servers a lot. This lets me connect to multiple servers at a time, lets me save profiles per server and per login type. I am curious to know if the RDC that comes with Office is different than the one you can just download from MS? Anyone know?

As the hint says, Office2011_en_rdc.pkg is located inside of RDC Installer.pkg. Right click on RDC Installer.pkg in the dmg you downloaded and choose "Show Package Contents." As far as I know, it's the same RDC included with MS office. You can save shortcuts for each server/user configuration you want; I keep mine in a folder on the dock for easy access. You might want to look into the free CoRD application mentioned by some other commenters, as it has a "library" approach to the organization of such profiles.
