There's an easier way. Just paste this in your address bar on any browser, and hit enter. Now any text is editable on the page!

Nice. This should have been the hint.

One side effect of this is that you can select text on a page using the keyboard (shift and arrow keys, combined with modifier keys), which for some of us is much easier than using a mouse.

The only disadvantage is that you can't click on links. The only way to follow a link is to right click on it and choose "Open link".
